We offer a Varity of amenities to make your stay at Cedarcrest as enjoyable as possible.

Dining Hall: A Large open building used for meals, activities, meetings, worship and the like. This building includes moveable tables and chairs, wood burning stove, ceiling and portable fans, white board, and soda machine.

Kitchen:  Connected to the dining hall, our kitchen includes industrial grade appliances that include two flat grills, one stovetop, two ovens, two large refrigerators, freezer, food preparation area, hot and cold running water, and microwave.  We also have a 6 foot portable charcoal grill on wheels that can be moved throughout the camp. Please note that at this time we do not provide utensils or pots/pans. Cleaning supplies are provided for free.

Cabins:All cabins include bunk beds with mattresses, electricity, and indoor/outdoor lighting. The six “Deluxe” cabins are located around the main camp area, and are convenient to the dining hall, sports fields, and bathhouse. These cabins are original to the property and were built by volunteers in 1935. Each has closeable windows and shutters, and includes a fireplace.
The bunkhouse cabin includes beds for 12 campers, a fireplace, and is in a wooded area set apart from the other cabins. Our remaining cabins are located in the woods and sleep 6 campers each.

Tents: Tent sites are available on virtually every part of our property. We have had as many as 600 tent campers at one time.  Several fire pits are available for use at various locations around the property.

Picnic Pavilion: A covered picnic area with at least a dozen picnic tables, this area has three charcoal grills, portable cold water, and electricity. It is conveniently located near the parking area and enjoys the sights and sounds of the Camp’s overflow damn. This area can serve up to 200 people comfortably, as more tables are available to be moved into the area.

Amphitheater: This very unique stone structure was built in 1944 and has seating for approximately 100 people. The area is beautifully situated on the bank of the Wepawaug River and includes a stage and stone fire platform. The area has seen many campfires, theater productions, and several weddings over the last 65 years.

Arts And Crafts Center: A separate building with meeting and activity space for approximately 20 people. Includes electricity, fireplace, and picnic tables. There is also a large fire circle outside this building with room for up to 40 campers.

Bathhouse: Our bathhouse has separate bathroom and shower facilities for men and women. Each includes indoor plumbing, hot and cold water, and has enough fixtures for even our largest groups. Paper products, soap, and cleaning supplies are provided at no additional charge.

Large Tent Deck: A 20x40 foot wooden deck with large overhead tent and picnic tables. This area has room for approximately 30 peoples.

Waterfront: The Wepawaug River cuts through the middle of camp and runs 11 miles south into Milford Harbor and the Long Island Sound.  The landscape includes beautiful views of both our small natural and large man-made waterfalls.  We have great trout fishing and just enough room for short canoe/row boat trips.
Be advised that we do not provide boats or fishing supplies, are subject to Connecticut State fishing regulations, and DO NOT allow fishing by the general public without a rental agreement. We currently do not recommend swimming in the river.

Sports Fields: These include a four hoop basketball court, bocce court, and open sports field with bases and backstop for baseball and such. We will soon add a volleyball court and two pits for horseshoes.

Challenge/Ropes Course: The Cedarcrest Challenge Course can be rented by groups looking to push their spirit of adventure, improve team building skills, and enjoy a fun outdoor learning experience. The course includes several low and high rope elements, and a 45 foot climbing wall. Contact the camp office for more information.

Parking: Cedarcrest has a main parking area that is set apart from the rest of camp and has space for up to 75 cars. Parking is also available throughout the camp. A dumpster for trash is also located in the main parking area at no additional charge.

For an additional charge we can provide or arrange catering/food services, team building and activity programming, as well as obtain and coordinate supply and equipment rental.
